The carbon fiber wheel represents the pinnacle of technology and innovation in the automotive world. Bucci Composites, a leader in the field of composite materials, offers a unique product: the 20″ carbon fiber wheel. With a price around €26.000 per set, these wheels are not just a luxury option but an investment in performance and safety. Here’s everything you need to know.

Why Are Carbon Fiber Wheels So Expensive?

The price around €26.000 for a set of carbon fiber wheels may seem high, but it is justified by several factors:

• Advanced Materials: Carbon fiber is extremely lightweight and strong. This material requires complex manufacturing processes, such as lamination and autoclave curing, which ensure unique quality and performance.
• Superior Performance: The lightness of carbon fiber reduces unsprung mass, improving acceleration, braking, and the car’s dynamic behavior.
• Exclusive Technology: Bucci Composites’ wheels incorporate technologies similar to those used in Formula 1, where carbon is the standard for maximizing performance and durability.
• Durability and Design: Beyond functionality, carbon fiber wheels offer exclusive aesthetics, synonymous with innovation and refinement.

Safety First: ECE 124 Certification

Safety is one of the main concerns when it comes to automotive components, and Bucci Composites knows this well. Their 20″ carbon fiber wheels are certified according to the ECE 124 standard, a European regulation that ensures products meet rigorous requirements in terms of strength, durability, and reliability.
This certification is not common among carbon fiber wheels, which are often designed solely for track use. Bucci Composites, on the other hand, offers wheels perfectly suited for both road and track use, with the absolute assurance of a safe and high-quality product.

Why Is Carbon Chosen in Formula 1?

Formula 1 is the proving ground for the most advanced automotive technologies. Carbon fiber is used in F1 for three main reasons:

• Lightness: Carbon fiber is lighter than aluminum and steel, helping to improve the car’s overall efficiency.
• Strength: This material offers exceptional structural rigidity, ideal for withstanding the extreme forces F1 cars are subjected to.
• Thermal Performance: Carbon fiber has low thermal conductivity, reducing heat buildup generated by friction during high-speed driving.

Maintenance and Cleaning: How to Care for Carbon Fiber Wheels

Keeping carbon fiber wheels in perfect condition requires care and attention. Here are some tips for cleaning and maintenance:

• Regular Cleaning: Use a non-abrasive wheel cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that could damage the resin coating.
• Periodic Inspections: Regularly check for scratches, chips, or surface damage. Any damage should be repaired by experienced professionals.
• Protection: During tire changes or other operations, ensure that appropriate tools are used to prevent damage to the surface.

Tire Installation: Experience Required

Tire installation on carbon fiber wheels requires expertise. It is essential to rely on experienced technicians who use specialized machinery and tools to mount the tires without compromising the wheel structure. Bucci Composites works with industry specialists to ensure impeccable service.

Availability for Private Customers: An Exclusive Service

Unlike many manufacturers who cater exclusively to teams and carmakers, Bucci Composites also offers its wheels to private customers. This service is managed by a team of experts, ready to advise customers on every aspect, from vehicle compatibility to maintenance. This personalized approach ensures a purchasing experience that meets expectations.
